  • Art, Design & Dine - Last of the Season

    This Thursday, December 11, is the last ADD of the season.

    We are featuring studio artists Christina and Alexa Blooding. We will also have a few pieces of art created by the late Norma Blooding and Robin Daniels. And...we will be showing the art our homeschool classes have created throughout the semester along with a few pieces created by the Women's Cancer Group of CRMC cancer center. And, as always, we will be having resident jewelry artist Tarrell Gardner with her line of revitalized jewelry "Revivify".

    Drop by for a cup of hot apple cider and chat with us!

    We are participating in "Shop Small Saturday" November 29, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • New Things!

    We have new things in the studio. First off, we have a new (used, but new to us) throwing wheel. It's a great old kick wheel. Thank you to JoElla Hendrickson Vacher of Encampment for selling it to us and also for donating boxes of glazes. What a great addition to our pottery studio!

  • Art for Homeschoolers!

    Flydragon Design Art Studio is offering art sessions for the 2014/2105 school year!

    Pottery (Ceramics) - 1st Wednesday of each month, 1:00-3:30 pm, for $25/session; $20/sibling. The kids will create various projects and learn all about hand building ceramic pieces. They will use the slab roller and coil extruder. They will learn glazing techniques and participate in loading and firing the kiln.

  • The Slab Roller is In!

    We are so excited that our slab roller arrived. For those of you who don't know what that is, it helps you roll out slabs of clay so you can create a hand built pottery piece. Here is a picture of Eric Blooding putting it together. Thanks Eric!

    Flydragon Design Art Studio opens today. The first public session is tonight at 6 pm featuring "Make A Wish". We painted this beautiful dandelion painting last night during a private session. Everyone had a blast and everyone was super happy with their painting. I think most were amazed at how their paintings turned out.
